Sigh. OK, fine, I finally watched The Closer, Dave Chappelle’s last special for Netflix. It was...OK. Not great, not horrible, a bit preachy at times but he did say at the top of his set that he would be addressing a few issues so you could see that coming. Yes, he spends a fair amount of time making jokes about transgender people. No, he is not transphobic, nor were the jokes.
Now I have to watch the movie, not because I thought DC was that funny but because he was insightful and he’s been disinvited from all of the “proper” venues.
