Sunday Morning Reading 1/17
Sorry for being absent from this last week - after the events of that week I had neither the heart or the time to put together a list. Plus, the pickings for non-Capitol riot related pieces were quite slim. I managed to find a few interesting pieces for you guys this week, although I did include one that is Capitol riot related (sorry!)
Nicholas Grossman warns the participants in the Capitol riot (and all of us really) about how the event has woken Leviathan and the results will be ugly
Since the idea of public housing is coming back into vogue, here is Jenny Schuetz with four reasons how that is an awful way to address housing affordability
Alana Newhouse explains how everything is broken but can indeed be repaired
Matt Taibbi writes about how the incentives in the media system are all jacked up and need to be addressed, a topic that I’ve been talking about for years.
Kerry Folan tells the story of Matthew Moore, a photographer who has traveled across Eastern Europe photographing the places where Soviet-era iconography once stood
Lastly, take some time off from the internet today; next week is going to be one for the books so get some rest today
